I am very pleased to
write this letter of reference on behalf of Dennis Gelbaum in my capacity as
CIO and CMO of SRS Distribution. With revenue of almost two billion
dollars, SRS Distribution is the third largest roofing distribution company
in the United States, distributing roofing and building materials to
professional residential and commercial contractors from more than 150 locations in 38 states. Overall, Dennis has proven
to be a detail oriented, skilled, thoughtful, and thoroughly professional
member of the SRS team, which I will briefly elaborate on below.
Dennis was originally
hired as the Program Director to manage the development and implementation of
our industry first and trend setting E-Commerce site and the refining,
designing and launching of our new corporate site. During the interview and
onset of the project, Dennis’ sharp skills for branding strategy, marketing, multimedia production and
digital communications revealed themselves and Dennis immediately put those
skills into action. Dennis reviewed the existing plans and helped refine the
plan and enhance the direction we were taking. Dennis was asked to move into
the role of Creative Director for the remainder of the project and continued to
play an essential role in leading new initiatives around marketing,
advertising, promotions, social media and digital communications.
One of the biggest contributions
Dennis made was the creation and development of MAP 360° - an interactive
ecommerce site that can help our customers grow their business through the use
of customized marketing, advertising and promotional products. Dennis was the
driving force behind the site from ideation to production to implementation.
MAP 360° is self-contained and created a new revenue stream that has no impact
on our current staff or resources. This project demonstrated his ability to
both work independently on self-started projects as well as working with staff on/off
site.
Not only is Dennis
highly intelligent; he also is very hard-working. He has tackled every project
assigned to him with enthusiasm and competence. He invariably understands
exactly what a project is all about from the outset, and how to get it done
quickly and effectively. He consistently produces superior quality work, on
time, and within budget targets. In my estimation, Dennis is a true example of
the type of employee that every employer wants: accountable and responsible,
with a superior work ethic and a high degree of integrity.
In closing, I
recommend Dennis Gelbaum very highly for any position that involves complexity
and creativity, with high quality requirements. He is an exceptionally bright
and hardworking person who will do his very best to do an outstanding job for
